Services
Students enrolled on our courses have a right to a number of additional services, all free of charge:
1. Catch-up Lessons
It sometimes happens that you may miss lessons due to study or work commitments or illness. We offer our students catch-up lessons so that they can keep up with the rest of the class. These lessons are held on Fridays and are organised according to the needs of the students.
2.Conversation Groups
Our aim is to help you to actively use the language you learn. You already do this during lessons, but a few extra hours of conversation can help you to further improve. Conversation classes are held on Fridays, and are organised according to student requirements.
3. Language Assistance
Have you got a job interview? Do you need to translate a letter? Do you need to understand a scientific article written in English? No problem! We can help you at no extra cost! It's all part of the service!
4. Self- study Centre
Since it is known that every learner has his or her own tastes, style and strategies for learning, we also offer our students a wide range of materials for self study, including over 570 videos in English, more than 200 graded readers with audio cassettes to improve listening comprehension, seven weekly magazines and 2500 library books, as well as dictionaries, grammar books, comics - in short, materials for all taste and levels.
5. Studying Abroad
a) If you would like to attend an English course in Britain, Ireland or the United States or, why not, even in Australia or New Zealand, we can help you choose the right school for your needs, age and pocket.
If however you prefer to make your own choice, the following websites might be useful:
- britishcouncil.org - This is the site of the British Council, the British organisation for cultural affairs and education.
- englishinbritain.co.uk - A site that contains a database and links to all the English teaching institutions in Britain recognised by the British Council.
- www.quality-english.com - A site that contains a database and links to selected top quality teaching institutions in the UK and beyond, obviously recognised by the British Council.
b) If you want to enrol on a university course at a British university you will find a collection of both undergraduate and postgraduate prospectuses in our library.
Or you can look at the following sites:
- ucas.com - This is the official site of the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS), the central office that co-ordinates all applications to undergraduate courses in the UK.
- britishcouncil.it - This is the site of the British Council in Italy. You can download a number of useful information sheets from this site.
- fulbright.it - site which gives information about the prestigious scholarships offered for study in America.
